Paoli (pronounced Poe-Lee) is a hypoallergenic maltese and chihuahua mix (although we suspect she may have a little hidden poodle in her). One day we walked into Pocket Puppies in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago to get some accessories for Gracie, and there she was, eight weeks old, rolly-polly and barely able to walk ... yet she was barking at us as if to say "take me home." So Gracie gained a little sister in May 2010.

Paoli is extremely intelligent and a bit of a guard dog, especially in the car where she will bounce off the sides if she sees a motorcycle, bike, or somebody wearing dark glasses and a hat. She has the empathy of a therapy dog and was a great mom to her pups, even if she pulls on the leash and runs full speed for walks and has a little bit of separation anxiety (good thing we never leave her alone for very long!). Paoli is very fast -- one time she ran off at Cactus League spring training and it took an entire little league baseball team twenty minutes to catch her (of course she was only playing). She's not picky at all when it comes to food but she does love her Stella & Chewy's Surf and Turf raw organic cookie treats.
